Disclosures & SMS Terms
Required disclosures about our service, how we make money, and how our text-message program works.
1. Who we are & what we do
Law9, a lead-generation service ("Law9," "we," "us") operates this website as a legal lead-generation and attorney-matching service. We collect information from people who indicate they may need legal help and forward that information to independent, third-party attorneys and law firms who may be able to assist.
We are not a law firm, not a lawyer, and not a lawyer referral service certified by any state bar. We do not practice law, do not provide legal advice, do not give opinions about your legal rights, and do not represent you in any matter. Nothing on this website is legal advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation.
2. No attorney-client relationship
Using this website, submitting a form, or being contacted by an attorney we connect you with does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Law9. Law9 can never be your attorney.
An attorney-client relationship with any attorney is formed only if and when you and that attorney both agree to it, typically in a signed written engagement agreement. Until that happens, no attorney has any obligation to you, no information you share is necessarily protected by attorney-client privilege, and you should not assume anyone is acting on your behalf or protecting any legal deadline.
3. How we get paid (advertising disclosure)
This website constitutes attorney advertising and paid marketing. Law9 may be compensated by the attorneys and law firms who participate in our network — for example, through advertising fees or per-lead/marketing fees. This service is always free to you, the person seeking help. We do not charge you anything.
Because we are compensated by participating attorneys, the attorneys you are matched with are those who participate in our network for your practice area and location — not necessarily every attorney available, and not the "best" attorney for your matter. We do not rank, endorse, recommend, or vouch for any particular attorney, and a match is not an endorsement. You are responsible for independently evaluating and selecting any attorney you choose to work with.
4. The attorneys are independent third parties
Any attorney or law firm you are connected with is an independent third party that is solely responsible for its own services, advice, conduct, fees, and results. Law9 does not employ, supervise, control, or partner with these attorneys, does not guarantee their availability, qualifications, licensing status, or the quality of their work, and is not responsible or liable for anything they do or fail to do. Any agreement you enter into is strictly between you and that attorney.
5. No guarantee of outcome
We do not guarantee:
- That any attorney will contact you, review your matter, or accept your case;
- Any particular legal outcome, settlement, recovery, or result;
- That you have a valid claim or that you are eligible for any benefit or compensation;
- That any deadline or statute of limitations will be met.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every legal matter is different and depends on its own facts and applicable law.
6. Time-sensitive matters & emergencies
Legal matters are frequently subject to strict deadlines (such as statutes of limitations). Law9 does not track, calculate, or protect any deadline for you, and submitting a form here does not stop any clock. If you have a legal emergency, an upcoming court date, or a deadline, contact a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction immediately. In an emergency that threatens life or safety, call 911.
7. SMS / text messaging program
Program name: Law9 Case Updates.
By submitting your phone number and checking the consent box, you provide your prior express written consent to receive recurring informational and marketing text messages from Law9 and the attorneys we connect you with, at the mobile number you provided, regarding your legal inquiry and related services. These messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service — you can also reach us through the case review form on our website instead.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity and matter — typically 0 to 10 messages per week.
STOP / HELP
- Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You'll receive one confirmation message and then no further texts.
- Reply HELP for help, or reach us through our online case review form at https://law9.com/intake.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. You are responsible for those charges. Law9 does not charge a fee to receive these messages.
Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile information collected for SMS purposes is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile phone number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing. We share it only with the attorneys we connect you with so they can respond to your inquiry, and with service providers (such as our texting platform) acting on our behalf.
8. TCPA consent & phone calls
By submitting the form and checking the consent box, you also agree that Law9 and the attorneys we connect you with may call you at the number you provided — including using an automatic telephone dialing system and prerecorded or artificial voice messages — for the purpose of discussing your legal inquiry. This consent is not required to use our service or to obtain any product or service. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text or by submitting a request through our online case review form at https://law9.com/intake.
9. Email opt-out
Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. You may also opt out by submitting a request through our online case review form at https://law9.com/intake.
10. Jurisdiction
This website is intended for residents of the United States. Attorney advertising rules vary by state; to the extent any content is considered attorney advertising in your jurisdiction, this notice serves as the required disclosure. The information here may not reflect the most current legal developments and is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
11. Updates
We may update these disclosures from time to time. The current version is always available at https://law9.com/disclosures.
