Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of this website and our attorney-matching service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Law9, a lead-generation service ("Law9," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using https://law9.com (the "Site") or submitting any information through it, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclosures & SMS Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the Site.
2. What Law9 is — and is not
Law9 is a lead-generation and attorney-matching / advertising service. We collect information from people who may need legal help and forward it to independent, licensed attorneys who may be able to assist.
Law9 is NOT a law firm, is NOT a lawyer, and does NOT provide legal advice, legal services, or legal representation of any kind. We do not endorse, recommend, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any attorney, law firm, or other third party. Nothing on the Site is legal advice. No content on the Site should be relied upon as a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney regarding your specific circumstances.
3. No attorney-client relationship
Your use of the Site, submission of a form, or any contact with an attorney through our service does not create an attorney-client relationship with Law9. We can never be your attorney. Any attorney-client relationship with a third-party attorney is formed only if you and that attorney separately and expressly agree (typically in a signed engagement). Information you submit may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege and may be shared with attorneys as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. The attorney network is independent
Attorneys and law firms in our network are independent third parties. They are solely responsible for their own licensing, advice, services, conduct, fees, and outcomes. We do not control or supervise them and are not liable for their acts or omissions. Any engagement, fee arrangement, or dispute is strictly between you and the attorney. You are responsible for verifying any attorney's licensing, qualifications, and good standing before retaining them.
5. No guarantees
We do not guarantee that any attorney will contact you, review or accept your matter, or achieve any particular result. We do not guarantee that you have a valid legal claim or that you qualify for any benefit. Estimates, descriptions, and general information on the Site are not promises. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
6. Your responsibilities & the information you submit
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to use the Site only for lawful purposes and your own genuine legal inquiry. You authorize Law9 to share the information you submit with independent attorneys and our service providers so they can evaluate and respond to your inquiry. You agree not to submit information about anyone else without their permission, not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, and not to misuse, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Site.
7. Consent to be contacted
By submitting your contact information and checking the consent box, you consent to be contacted by Law9 and the attorneys we connect you with by phone, email, and text message — including by automated means and prerecorded/artificial voice — as described in our Disclosures & SMS Terms. Consent is not a condition of any service. You can opt out at any time (reply STOP to texts, or submit a request through our online case review form).
8. Time-sensitive matters
Legal matters often have strict deadlines. Law9 does not track or protect any deadline, and submitting a request does not preserve any claim. If your matter is urgent or a deadline is approaching, you must contact a licensed attorney directly and immediately. In an emergency, call 911.
9. Intellectual property
The Site and its content (text, design, logos, and trademarks) are owned by Law9 or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING ANY ATTORNEY OR THE INFORMATION ON THE SITE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Law9 AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICE, ANY ATTORNEY YOU ARE CONNECTED WITH, OR ANY LEGAL MATTER — WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Release & indemnification
You release Law9 from any and all claims, demands, and damages arising out of or connected with any dispute between you and any attorney, law firm, or other third party, or any legal matter or outcome. You agree to indemnify and hold Law9 harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit.
13. Dispute resolution & arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and Law9 waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If arbitration is found not to apply, the state and federal courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes & termination
We may modify these Terms or the Site at any time; changes are effective when posted. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time without notice.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclosures, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
